ESTATE
The well-known lord Jules du Souzy, winegrower and aristocrat, lived in the Château de la Terrière
during the 19th century and developped the reputation of the castle. The wines from Jules du Souzy
are from high density vineyards. Grapes are harvested healthy and with good maturity. The
winemaking is traditional and respects the quality of the harvest and its terroir. This philosophy
allows the wine to develop its identity an fruitiness.
SOIL
When they are produced on light soils, they are fruity and easy to drink, with bright colours and a lot
of suppleness. The wines of Côtes du Rhône coming from deep soils are rich and tannic.
VINIFICATION & AGEING
Grapes sorted and destemmed, with maceration in cement vats for about 15 days. Aged in cement
vats for 10 months.
