TASTING NOTES
This Bourgogne Pinot Noir offers a ruby and brilliant colour. The nose develops notes of
blackcurrant and wild strawberry and a touch of fern and forest floor. The mouth is frank and light,
well balanced with melted tannins. The fruity and vegetal notes of the nose give a beautiful
freshness and a pleasant length to the palate.

To be served with roasted meats, lamb, refined cheese.
VEGGIE : Fresh linguine with fresh “souled” mushrooms and herbs.

ESTATE
The well-known lord Jules du Souzy, winegrower and aristocrat, lived in the Château de la Terrière
during the 19th century and developped the reputation of the castle. The wines from Jules du Souzy
are from high density vineyards. Grapes are harvested healthy and with good maturity. The
winemaking is traditional and respects the quality of the harvest and its terroir. This philosophy
allows the wine to develop its identity an fruitiness.
SOIL
From the Côte d’Or area on the South, on the border of “Villages” appellation. Marl and clay and a lot
of limestone.
VINIFICATION & AGEING
After the harvest, destemming, crushing and classic maceration around 15 days, maturing in oak
Burgudian barrels during one year before bottling.
