David Sterza winery is located in the tiny Valpolicella village of Casterna, in the foothills of the Lessini mountain range, the David Sterza wine estate was established in 1998, but the Sterza’s have been producing wine through a long family tradition handed down from father to son.

When the estate was passed into the care of the young David Sterza he sought the professional guidance of his cousin,

the renowned wine expert Paolo Mascanzoni and together they set about producing best wine from Valpolicella AVA.

This came about due to the fact that David and Paolo decided not to sell their grapes as had happened in the past, but to press, process and bottle the wine on their own premises. Thus the Sterza wine estate was born.
