Quick Overview

Rock-solid, with layers of baker's chocolate and espresso lining the steeped plum and blackberry fruit flavors while intense charcoal fills in on the hefty finish. Backward now, but showing excellent intensity and dark fruit, with a tug of singed iron on the finish. Best from 2018 through 2030
Chateau Clerc Milon Bordeaux, Pauillac 2010
Grand Cru de Bordeaux

Classified as a Fifth Growth in 1855, Château Clerc Milon had been long recognized as a notable estate in the Médoc. Renown notwithstanding, it was not until Baron Philippe de Rothschild purchased the estate in 1970 that the wines of this once great property could regain their former glory. The pioneer of estate bottling and a force of nature in the wine world, Baron Philippe was convinced of the potential of Clerc Milon, and set about refurbishing the property in order to elicit the most from the Pauillac terroir.
