CHATEAU SOLEIL PUISSEGUIN SAINT EMILION 2010

The History

The story of Château Soleil began three centuries ago with the Soleil family. The purchase of the 20 hectares wine estate in 2005 is a new story of an oldfriendship between Didier Miqueu and Count Stephan Von Neipperg, owner ofvarious Great Growths on the right bank : Château Canon La Gaffelière, LaMondotte, Clos de l'Oratoire, Château d'Aiguilhe ...The goal was similar to the Aiguilhe's project : the purchase of a small wineestate with a great terroir located in a rather less known appellation ofBordeaux, able to rival classified "Grands Crus" in terms of quality, and with afairly lower price.

The Grape

Made from 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc

 Tasting Notes

A selection is made, only the best grapes from the best plots are used toproduce Château Soleil. This is a powerful, but balanced wine, thanks to thelimestone presence, that can be drunk in the first years, where it doesn't displayany wrong tannicity or austerity, but could age, with its structure.
